The last art gallery exhibit of the semester has arrived. Students, faculty and guests alike are invited to “Art Educators Student Exhibition.”

Seventeen of Central’s Art Education students will have their artwork featured in the gallery from Thursday, Nov. 21 until Dec. 5. The exhibit will feature paintings, collages, ceramic pieces and several other mediums.

“These individuals are the future art teachers who will assume positions at elementary and secondary art programs throughout Connecticut,” Gallery Assistant Tania Pichardo Weiss said. “In addition to promoting art in their schools and communities, they will undoubtedly engage and inspire young minds in the process of responding to, creating and appreciating art.”

A free opening reception will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 4-7 p.m. in the art gallery, located on the second floor of Maloney Hall. If you would like to view the show any other time, the gallery is open Monday through Friday, 1-4 p.m.
