Week Four NFL Game Picks

  • Minnesota Vikings vs. Los Angeles Rams

This could be a preview of the NFC Championship Game between these two heavyweights that are sure to make it deep in the playoffs. The Vikings are coming off an embarrassing loss against Buffalo last week and they will look to bounce back. But during a short week and home-field advantage, the Rams will pull this one out as their dynamic offense has been unstoppable. This game will come down to the wire in part because LA might be down their two starting corners but that offense will show up, proving they are legit.

  • Miami Dolphins vs. New England Patriots

Just like everyone predicted, the Dolphins are 3-0 and in first place in the AFC East while the Patriots are trailing at 1-2. As the Patriots hope to avoid losing three in a row, they’re going to have to address both sides of the ball as they face a hot Miami offense and defense. At the end of the day, I don’t see the Patriots dropping their third in a row, as they get the win at home.

  • New Orleans Saints vs. New York Giants

Expect this game to be very high scoring as neither defense has looked particularly good this season and are loaded with offensive stars. But the Giants offensive line is still a weakness and they are going to be without tight end Evan Engram as he is “week to week” with a sprained MCL, per NFL.com. So, Drew Brees and the Saints to win and perhaps win big on the road.

  • Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts

The Texans have struggled so far this season and they haven’t shown any sign of changing. The offensive line is among the worse in the NFL while the young Colts defense has been impressive thus far and have been close to winning their last two games, both going down to the wire. The offense led by Andrew Luck has been subpar so far but expect him to turn it around as he gets more playing time after returning from injury. The Colts will close this one out at home and send the Houston Texans to 0-4.

  • Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

If history is any indication, this game will be a good one. Division games are always fun but AFC North matchups are different than the rest, with more physical, old-school football when teams meet. Baltimore has been impressive but the only game they struggled this year was an away game against another division opponent. They face the same circumstances this week but the result will be different. As long as Joe Flacco plays decent, the Ravens will find a way to outlast a team who is missing their star running back and a defense who can’t stop a nosebleed.

  • Cleveland Browns vs. Oakland Raiders

The Raiders do not know how to finish a game and head coach Jon Gruden is still looking for an elite pass rusher for his struggling defense. I wonder if he knows who Khalil Mack is. But anyways, the Browns are coming off their first win in 635 days and are now rallying behind rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield who looked impressive a week ago. That along with a young and impressive defense who is among the league leaders in takeaways will give the Browns back-to-back wins FOR THE LAND! Browns win.
