Homecoming Photo Spread

Central Connecticut brought back the leg warmers, scrunchies and every pop culture reference from the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000s.

Last Friday, WFCS and Hillel hosted their Homecoming dance, “A Night Of Nostalgia.” Students and their guests gathered all around Semesters in Devil’s Den as the DJ played popular songs from the last four decades.

There was sour puckering pink lemonade, some chips and dip and a vanilla cake ready to be cut. A disco ball hung from the ceiling with blue and red strobe lights rotating from the DJ booth.

Using Central’s colors, blue and white balloons filled the ceiling along with a photo set-up for everyone’s social media profiles right next to the entrance. Silver mylar balloons spelled out “HOCO 2019.”

As for the students who attended, if they were not dancing, they were socializing and congregating by the punch bowl. Because of the 80’s 90’s and 00’s theme of the dance, students dressed up as Eleven from Stranger Things, Cher from Clueless and Kim Possible, to name a few. Most people made some new friends, making the homecoming dance a great way to kick off the start of the 2019 homecoming weekend.
