Congressman John B. Larson (CT-01) will host a seminar Thursday, Sept. 9 to provide veterans and their families information on how to find employment within in the state.
The presentation, featuring guest speaker Raymond Jefferson, assistant secretary of the Veteran’s Employment and Training Service at the U.S. Department of Labor, will be held in the Constitution Room in Memorial Hall from 2-4 pm.
The event is meant to maximize veterans’ employment opportunities, protect their employment rights and lead them toward finding meaningful careers.
Larson and Jefferson will be accompanied by members of various state and local veterans organizations, including the CT Department of Veterans Affairs and the CT Department of Labor’s Office for Veterans’ Workforce Development.
Registration and refreshments will be available from 1:30-2 pm.
