“S.O.S.!”

The day fans have been waiting for since 2013 has finally arrived; Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas are finally getting the band back together. The brothers made a public announcement this past Thursday revealing that the Jonas Brothers will be releasing a brand new single and music video on Friday, March 1.

After a nearly six-year hiatus, the band’s newest single “Sucker” dropped at midnight EST, giving their devoted fans a fresh take on their new, signature style.

Many remember the Jonas Brothers as a face of Disney, opening up for Hannah Montana in concert, touring with Demi Lovato and releasing four albums of classic pop anthems of the late 2000s. However, “Sucker” is an introduction to a new sound from the three bothers, and the beginning to the highly anticipated reunion fans have been dreaming about.

The new bop is a radio-ready pure pop banger, dominated by Nick’s lead vocals on the verses with smaller spots from Joe and Kevin chiming in for harmony. “Sucker” is a tune incorporating many of Nick and Joe’s recent sexy, daring pop releases over the recent years, mixed with a squeaky-clean pop-rock sound familiar to the pre-hiatus band.

The track’s lyrics celebrate each brother’s individual relationships as the brothers sing, “I’m a sucker for you / Say the word and I’d go anywhere blindly / I’m a sucker for you / Any road you take, you know that you’ll find me.”

Fitting for the song, each brother’s love interest premiere in their newest music video for “Sucker.”

“#SuckerVideo is officially Out! We really had the best time shooting this video in England with our family,” Joe Jonas tweeted out to fans after the video’s premiere. “Hope you guys love it. Feels good to be back.”

Nick’s newlywed Priyanka Chopra, Kevin’s wife Danielle Jonas and Joe’s fiancée Sophie Turner all make their own special appearances in the video, giving “Sucker” a personal touch. The video features many colorful and lavish scenes, focusing on the three couples together on a large estate as they sing about being “suckers” for their leading ladies.

Even with the brother’s long-awaited comeback, some fans (and the brothers), thought it was their love interests who really stole the show.

“My wife is soooooo beautiful in this video!!! How lucky am I!?!!” Nick Jonas tweeted out.

Currently at number one, “Sucker” stands proudly on the iTunes pop chart for singles, with the music video landing at number one in iTunes’ video category. While it trends at the top on YouTube as well, it is safe to say this is only the beginning of a new JoBro’s era.

The brothers even appeared on The Elvis Duran Show the morning of their premiere, hinting that there will be plenty more material to watch out for.

“When we started to figure out what the sound was going to be like – balancing Nick’s sound, DNCE’s sound and, to be truthful, Kevin bringing so much heart into this,” Joe said. “It’s been incredible – his stories, his family and everything that he has going on now, it was really important to be able to blend the three. And so, we have probably 30, 40 songs recorded that we can’t wait to release.”

The brothers will also join The Late Late show with host James Corden for a week-long takeover from Monday, March 4 to Thursday, March 7. They will be kicking off the week by sitting down with Corden for an exclusive interview, sharing their reasons as to why they decided to reunite the band.

The band will also partake in sketches, songs and various other typical Late Late Show segments, including “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts” and “Carpool Karaoke.” And of course, there will be the world premiere musical performance of “Sucker.”

The Late Late Show tweeted the news on Thursday, with a video of a short clip. “It’s nice to finally be able to tell someone,” Nick said in the clip. “We’ve been keeping this a secret now for almost seven, eight months.”

When the brothers reactivated their band’s Instagram and Twitter accounts with announcements of their return, it was their beloved fans that took to the internet — freaking out.

“So…I’m just supposed to go to work tomorrow?? And act normal?? As if the entire music industry hasn’t just been resurrected? #JonasBrothers,” @madikins531 tweeted.

“In conclusion: Sucker just saved 2019, cured my depression, and I’ll never be the same. #JonasBrothers,” @samskyee said.

“I have been waiting for this moment since 2013. I can’t believe it’s finally here. My favorite band has returned and this is not a drill. #JonasBrothers2019,” @sheishyo tweeted.

“Sucker is the start of something revolutionary. It’s at number one for a reason. Stream it everywhere!!!!,” @amanda83701 tweeted.

Although no one is exactly sure when more music from the three brothers will be released, it is safe to say that 2019 is the year of the Jonas Brothers.

You can stream “Sucker” on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. Make sure to follow the band on Instagram @jonasbrothers.
