The Student Government Association meets every Wednesday at 3:05 p.m. in Bellin A and B in the Student Center. These briefs are from the SGA’s meeting on Jan. 23. 

• The Government in Transition Forum is Feb. 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will include Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz and Senate President Pro Temper Martin Looney in attendance, among others.
• The External Affairs Committee will continue its #PayUp campaign, which aims to protect interns and student teachers from exploration after Governor Ned Lamont and several Connecticut senators expressed their support to write legislation for the initiative.
• The Finance Committee will soon be holding several 20-minute budget training for clubs to help them “know what [the SGA] is looking for,” according to Treasurer Kristina DeVivo. Dates will be announced in the near future.
