Last Minute End-Of-The-Year Bucket List

Natalie Dest

With only one month left until we approach the new year, it is guaranteed that some of our 2018 New Year’s resolutions have failed or are incomplete, and some may still be haunting us.

Within the blink of an eye, the year is already nearing its end. It flew by so quickly that it almost feels as if there was not enough time to get everything done. And if that is the case for you, do not feel threatened. There is still enough time to squeeze in those last-minute-to-dos to end with a more fulfilling year.

Whether you complete all of these or only cross off a few, finishing some of these tasks are bound to make you feel more productive and satisfied with your 2018.

Consider the following 20 tasks for your last-minute bucket list before the New Year:

  • Reflect on your proudest accomplishment this year.
  • Point out a moment you are least proud of and make it your week’s focus to try and improve it.
  • Finish the book you’ve been trying to complete.
  • Attempt that new exercise routine you have been meaning to try.
  • Commit to the plans you and a friend have been meaning to make.
  • Teach yourself something new. Whether it is a hobby, a DIY craft or a new instrument.
  • Try to mend any broken relationships or friendships.
  • Attend the restaurant that you have been meaning to try.
  • Take that mental health day you have been planning to. No phones, no distractions.
  • Practice a mindful activity, whether it be meditation or yoga.
  • Take a half an hour to an hour to tidy up your personal space.
  • Plan a trip to the location you have been meaning to explore.
  • Take that risk you have been meaning to try with your hairstyle. Whether it is a new dye, cut or shave, commit to it.
  • Set aside time to spend with your family, whether that’s playing a game, going out for dinner or just lounging around.
  • Try that new look you have been meaning to wear on a night out.
  • Participate in a volunteer activity for your community, workplace or school.
  • Eliminate one unhealthy habit for the rest of the year.
  • Sell or donate any clothes or books you may not need anymore.
  • Reflect and make a list of all the things in your life that you are thankful for.
  • Let a close one know how much they mean to you.
