What’s New, CCSU?

  • “Fresh Check Day,” a mental health and suicide prevention event, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 18 starting at 11 a.m. in Alumni Hall in the Student Center and feature entertainment and free giveaways.
  • CCSU will host its “CLASS Career Symposium” on Friday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Alumni Hall. Students majoring in Liberal Arts or Social Sciences are encouraged to attend to meet with potential employers and gain tips on navigating the post-college job world.
  • “Food Truck Day” is on Oct. 19 beginning at 11 a.m. in the Student Center Circle.
  • The 1950’s classic “Strangers on a Train” will be shown Oct. 19 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Davidson’s Torp Theatre.
  • A “Public Planetarium Show” will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Nicolaus Copernicus Hall building.
  • CCSU and New Britain are once again competing to see who can collect the most food donations in its annual “Competition for a Cause” food drive. The drive will run from Oct. 22 to Nov. 16.
