The Student Government Association meets every Wednesday at 3:05 p.m. in Bellin A and B in the Student Center. These briefs are from the SGA’s meeting on Sept. 19.

  • Following Victor Constanza’s resignation from the SGA, the new External Affairs Committee chair is Roshanay Tahir. The new vice chair is Ian Cocking.
  • The first Good Neighbor Campaign will be Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. beginning in the Student Center’s Sprague Carleton.
  • The Office of Community Engagement is sponsoring a community clean-up on Oct. 6 starting at 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will meet at the North Oak Police Substation. A light breakfast will be served. Those interested can register via the Office of Community Engagement’s webpage.
  • A motion to allocate $2,050.00 to the Latin American Student Organization for registration fees and transportation passed, with $600 cut in an amendment. $82 was later passed for registration for a faculty advisor who will accompany the club on their trip.
  • A motion to allocate $2,873.99 to the South Asian Students Association for a DJ, performer and security, excluding food and decoration costs, passed.
