The Student Government Association meets every Wednesday at 3:05 p.m. in Bellin A and B in the Student Center. These briefs are from the SGA’s meeting on April 18.

• The proposal regarding changes to club funding bylaws, which would make bystander training attendance mandatory for club leadership or else the club risks losing funding, passed the Finance Committee. Initially introduced by the Student Life Committee, the proposal will now go to the Internal Affairs Committee for review. If passed there, it will go before the SGA for a vote.
• The Finance Committee cut $19,000.80 from base budgets, bringing them to target. These cuts were made due to previous calculation errors about how much needed to be allocated, as well as because the committee is now limiting how much funding the SGA will contribute to club trips and to clubs’ registration fees for activities, among other alterations.
• The “Visions for Connecticut’s Future: A Gubernatorial Forum,” which is April 23 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Constitution Room at Memorial Hall, will now have 15 gubernatorial candidates participating.
• A motion for the SGA not to exceed $700 for the Spring Concert Day Barbeque passed.
• A motion to allocate $93.14 for a plaque recognizing the Autism Connection Club at the “Visions for Connecticut’s Future: A Gubernatorial Forum” for their work passed.
• A motion to approve a letter to the Human Studies Council in support of the SGA’s development and endorsement of the 2017-18 CCSU Diversity Survey passed.
