Last week’s Devil’s Den @ 10PM let students put their best foot forward for the spring semester with a fun, spring-themed craft.
At the event, Spring Fling, attendees could unwind and have a nice night for themselves with their friends. Many people showed up, making the atmosphere lively and upbeat, which paired well with the chill craft project.
Students were given Mason jars and coffee mugs to decorate with dried and cloth flowers to create floral containers to hold things or to place positive messages into for themselves. There was also free pizza, chips and drinks for the participants to enjoy as they decorated their jars and mugs.
About halfway through the Spring Fling, the night took on an exciting turn when the event organizers opened up the microphone for students to sing karaoke. Many students took to the Semesters stage to perform their favorite songs to the cheers and applause of the audience.
Liliani Feagin said crafting events like this one are really fun and the weekly Devil’s Den events give students the chance to enjoy life on campus for free.
“It’s fun to hang out with friends here and make new ones,” Feagin said.
Jacob Salas said the Spring Fling event was very enjoyable to attend and take part in. He said that he goes to almost every Devil’s Den event to do something on Thursday nights.
“I love that they have them because otherwise I’d just be at home,” Salas said. “It’s a great opportunity to destress.”
