You hit the snooze button for the third time, turn over, and realize it’s 7:50am. You only have ten minutes to get to class – “$%^#!” We get it! We understand if you don’t want to get glamorous for your professor, or better yet, your classmates. The first two weeks of school can be best time to show off your new blouses, printed pants, and handbags… but a month into school, who cares?
That’s when you grab inspiration from your college fashionistas, students and professors, who rock their simple or complex outfits all throughout the school year. Let’s take a look at the outfits from this week’s fashion report.
Making Little Things Count:
Senior, Amy Arriga, rocked a simple off-white dress, accompanied by a patterned green headband, and green skinny belt. Accessorizing with bold colors help make the dress stand out. The belt’s placement helps emphasize the dress’s cut-out design. Headbands are always a great accessory if you don’t know how to style your outfit. They look great with almost everything and never go out of style!
Janet Woodruff, from the Archaeology Laboratory for African and Africana Diaspora Studies (ALAADS), was spotted in a pair of colorful printed pants and magenta heels. Once again, we see accessories that play a major role in the outfit, (besides those great pants). Woodruff’s colorful printed pants speak for itself. They say ‘bold, fun, energetic, and happy!’ Her quarter-lenghted sleeve, V-neck top, brings out the pant’s splash of baby blue, indicating a sense of sophistication and class. She finished off the outfit with killer heels that brings the eye back to the magenta accents on her pants. When accessorizing, you don’t always have to stick to the same color. Don’t be afraid to mix it up a bit!
