Chris Brown’s latest album, F.A.M.E, incorporates a variety of different elements from his earlier albums.
There is more of a techno and pop sound on F.A.M.E. than usual and it’s a little different than what we’re all used to hearing from him. I felt that I should jumping around and fist pumping to a few of the songs.
But Brown also stays within the realm of familiarity and what we best know him for with his up-tempo dance tracks and a couple of love ballads that incorporate a deep love and aspiration for the woman he loves or loved, heartache, mistakes and regret.
There is also plenty of romance and his well-known sexually enticing songs that appear to be the type of tracks meant only for the more mature crowd or as we would say the “grown and sexy” crowd. There is also some empowerment and intensity behind Brown’s lyrics. The words sort of jump out out you and pull you in.
My favorite tracks would have to be “Look at Me Now” featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne, “Beg For It” and “Deuces,” featuring Kevin McCall and Tyga. I also love the beats in” B.O.M.B” featuring Wiz Khalifa, whose guest verse I absolutely loved. “Say It With Me” is probably one of the only songs on the album I would say has to still grow on me.
Brown’s latest album as a whole is pretty good and is one I’d let play from beginning to end every time. It is relatable, incorporates different types and styles of music and and shows his growth and maturity as an artist.
