Art Gallery to Host Student Film Festival
April 20, 2021
The only thing better than a night of watching films is a night of watching films created by your peers.
Next Thursday, Central’s Art Gallery will be hosting an event titled, “Blue Devil Film Festival.”
On the fifth floor of Welte Garage, members of the Central community will be able to drive-in or walk-up and watch films created by CCSU students and alumni.
“This will be a great opportunity to celebrate the work of CCSU students and alumni while experiencing a safe and interesting social event,” CCSU Art professor Eben Kling said. “The idea of the drive-in theatre came about as a creative answer to the compromises that are presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and this structure seemed like a good way to address those concerns in a conceptually interesting way.”
Prizes for the winning films will be announced at the end of the screening.
You must be either a Central student, faculty or staff member to attend. Tickets are also required for entry. Tickets are free and able through this link.
One ticket is required per car, or one ticket per walk-in.
“Blue Devil Film Festival” will occur on April 29 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.
