The Student Government Association meets every Wednesday at 3:05 p.m. in Bellin A and B in the Student Center. These briefs are from the SGA’s meeting on Nov. 28.

  • Senator Nicole Elsinger was voted the new Finance Committee vice-chair after Senator Thomas Mitchell’s resignation from the SGA due to personal matters, according to President Kassandra Fruin.
  • The SGA’s winter retreat is Jan. 4 to 6 at Camp Jewell.
  • The following items passed in a consent agenda:
    • A motion to strike ‘(effective starting the 2017-2018 fiscal year)’ from Title 4, Section 4-1 from the SGA Bylaws.
    • A motion to strike ‘(effective starting the 2017-2018 fiscal year)’ from Title 4, Section 4-2 of the SGA Bylaws.
    • A motion to allocate $1,674.00 in a contingency request to the Men’s Rugby Club for their scrum sled.
  • A motion to freeze the accounts of the Women Involved Now and the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu clubs passed. The two clubs failed to complete their audits and their accounts will be unfrozen after they complete their audits, according to Treasurer Kristina DeVivo.
