CCSU’s English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta, in partnership with The Golden Key Honor Society, have created a one day event, entitled the Book Bash, to be held at Gaffney Elementary School on October 30th.
It’s premise is simple: we want to help children build home libraries. We have collected over 1,000 books, and each child at the school will receive 2 books. In addition, we have a local author who will be reading her book to the children as well as leading an art project, in which the students will be creating their own bookmarks. We have raised all the money (for the art supplies, bookmarks, etc.) our own so this is costing the school nothing.
The event time is 9:30am-11:00am, and 12:00pm-2:00pm.
